Photo Friday: Endless Sunflowers in France

It’s hard to choose just one, but this might be my favorite photo from our recent trip to the Dordogne region of France.

The endless fields of sunflowers in full bloom were insanely beautiful.  This photo was taken on our way to the wonderful Sunday market in the historic town of Issigeac.  The field of sunflowers was so dramatic that every person in our group—including the kids—couldn’t believe their eyes.

A wow travel moment for sure. We explored so many fantastic sights in the Dordogne—there will be many more blog entries on this destination in the days to come. In the meantime, for more of this week’s Photo Friday posts, visit Delicious Baby.

    Gorgeous – how fantastic. It doesn’t look real, does it? I can just feel the sun on my face and the smell of the earth… just wonderful.

    you know what’s funny, my neighbor grows sunflowers, but they never look as pretty as they do in pictures:) like here!

    Here I am catching up on my blog reading, and I see this and my eyes pop out! My little garden sunflower can only aspire to reach these levels!

    Great picture! I came across this while searching for shots of sunflower fields in the French countryside. I’m going on a solo trip in early August. I’m definitely going to put this on my list of things to see!

    Any other suggestions??
