Photo Friday: Legoland

December 4th, 2009
Amie from Ciao Bambino

I was just reading about The Q Family Adventures’ Legoland experience and it reminded me of our trip to check out the best kid friendly San Diego hotels last August.   For us, the stand out feature at Legoland vs. other amusement parks is that there are so many age-appropriate activities for toddlers and young children.

Although I wasn’t wowed by many of the lego sculptures (I thought this would be the highlight), the lego cities were amazingly intricate replicas of my USA favorites—New York and San Francisco.

There are just enough things to see and do at Legoland that a multi-day visit is more relaxing than trying to cram everything into a single block of time. That said, given the number of San Diego attractions for families, if time is precious, make sure you create a list of must-see rides and activities ahead of time.  The park is relatively small, but it is packed with fun options.

I absolutely loved the replica of SF when I was at Legoland. It was definitely the highlight for me. It made me feel homesick for Northern California and my favorite city!
