Photo Friday: Lake Geneva, Switzerland
June 11th, 2010
Amie from Ciao Bambino

I haven’t spent much time in Switzerland but that is about to change. This will be the first of many posts on this spectacular country. The little village of Villette near the city of Lausanne on Lake Léman (otherwise known as Lake Geneva) is about to become my new home for the next few years!

The mountains views here are breathtaking—and ever changing. It seemed like every weather and light shift brought entirely new perspective.

The Lavaux Vineyard Terraces extend for 30km along the shore of the lake. Part of the Unesco World Heritage list, these vineyards are stunning and a source of pride for the historic winemakers of the area.

Pinch me please—I will be living next to quintessential villages where locals slow down and savor life’s pleasures. I can’t wait for their joie de vivre to rub off on us …
