A 200-acre estate in south west Ireland just outside Skibbereen town, Liss Ard Estate offers Liss Ard Country House, Garden Mews and the Lake Lodge. During summer months and school holidays, the children's club is in action, offering outdoor activities, sports, and treasure hunts. Indoor activities include art/crafts, baking/cooking, and indoor sports. Library of books and board games also on hand. All food is locally sourced and follows many of the "slow food" principles. Within the estate is a 50-acre lake for fishing or kayaking and the Ireland Sky Garden Crater, which is truly amazing! Guestrooms and spacious, wonderfully decorated. The Lake Lodge can be taken as a self-catering property, with ten guest rooms, a lounge, dining room, kitchen and conservatory. Bicycles are available for all to borrow, wellingtons, coats and torchs at the ready to guide you around this magical estate day or night!
