Primarily an all-suite hotel, most rooms include full kitchens and living areas. Guest rooms are shockingly spacious for New York City and easily accommodate families of 4-6 people. Updated rooms are set up for comfort and function more than style, but this is one of the features that makes it work well for a stay with kids. There is an appealing Club Room that is perfect for breaks with snacks and a TV. The Midtown location is fantastic, just blocks from Rockefeller Center and the excitement of 5th Avenue.

There’s an onsite restaurant and rooftop lounge, and the location is ideal for exploring Chicago, just one block off the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue.

The restaurant went out of their way to offer unique, kid-friendly foods. We had a wonderful private dinner on our rooftop terrace. The service here is highly personalized. The Almyra is a fantastic place to truly relax and enjoy a beautiful setting.

Privately owned, the Alva Park Resort and Spa opened in 2005. Located a block from the beach, this former apartment building has been transformed into a decadent oasis of comfort and luxury - meticulous attention and thought has been put into every detail. For parents, there is the magnificent spa, gastronomic dining, and even a room dedicated to indoor golf practice. For children from 3-12 there is a complimentary kid’s club and a fantastic pool area. Located on the Costa Brava just an hour outside of Barcelona, Alva Park is the perfect option for families that want a destination resort experience where every family member is pampered.

Although the property is a well-known romantic getaway, in recent years kids are frequent guests, particularly over the summer months. A few key amenities make it fun for them including an expansive croquet lawn and a lovely swimming pool. There is also a wonderful outdoor dining area. Those seeking quiet and romance still find it in the adult-only spa and the award-winning Marinus restaurant. In addition to the spectacular scenery, one nice benefit of Carmel Valley is that it is often sunny when the coast is foggy, yet this location still provides easy access to the Monterey Peninsula's numerous attractions for kids.

The atmosphere is exquisite and the service is highly personalized—it feels more like a private villa than a hotel and this is what makes it work for families. Every guest is pampered and will appreciate this slice of Tuscan heaven. While indoor areas are quiet and more formal, families have plenty to spaces to enjoy including a spectacular swimming pool, tennis court, soccer/football field, and there even a full playground on the property. The cuisine is creative and fresh - most of the ingredients are grown right on the property in a lovely organic garden.

The lobby sits right on Boston Harbor and takes advantage of the location with waterfront dining, music outside in the summer, and water taxi service to Logan and various other destinations. The Rose Kennedy walkway provides guests with easy access to The North End, The Financial District, and Fanueil Hall. It’s also within walking distance to the Aquarium, the Children’s Museum, the Fleet Center and the ICA. The rooms are spacious and the service is outstanding. My kids are fans of the saltwater pool—it doesn’t sting your eyes or dry your skin. Meanwhile, I love the pilates and yoga classes, as well as the nice gym. Kids are greeted with a welcome gift and games, and other amenities like strollers and bed rails are available on request.

Views are fabulous, service is warm and friendly, the atmosphere is authentically tropical and rooms are modern and chic.

Guest rooms are simply decorated but comfortable. Suites are spacious and many rooms have nice water views. There are plenty of restaurants nearby for those that want to walk to meals and the hotel offers free tickets in the evenings on the Bahia Belle boat (cruises through Mission Bay). Pricing is value-oriented for the space, room amenities, and location.

Guests are treated to a unique Bay Area experience – most of the lodge is comprised of turn-of-the-century buildings that were part of the original Fort Baker army post. Meticulous renovation work preserved original features and recycled materials whenever possible - the result is an eco-friendly yet luxurious atmosphere. The décor is modern and cozy with a stunning art collection. There are many room types to choose from - suites in the Bayside buildings feel like apartments - a spacious option for families. Adjacent to an enormous grassy area and a fabulous hands-on kids museum, the location is ideal for families with toddlers; meanwhile, immediate access to some of the best biking and hiking in the Bay Area make the lodge perfect for families with older kids as well.

The views here are breathtaking. A former presbytery, the ambiance is medieval - a fun and fascinating atmosphere for kids. Interior room are spacious and comfortable. The local host, Jackie, is a gem and provides extensive services and guidance.

The hotel has something great for all ages—a lagoon that is perfect for smaller kids with no waves, a fun kids club for ages 5-12, and a wide variety of water sports activities for older kids. Every restaurant has a different kids menu. Cheeca Lodge does a good job of creating a family-friendly environment that is romantic too; we love using the spa and adult pool while our kids are engaged in Camp Cheeca activities.

The Mini Club is for children 4+ - kids can play all day and the parents get to explore. Right on the ocean, beautiful bathtub water surrounds the facility. There is a large white sand beach the all inclusive buffet makes it easy to feed kids and adults with many choices. Families with 4 or more people can easily fit into connecting rooms.

The beach is the highlight here for us with calm surf and warm water - we stay in the villas right on the beach so we are able to enjoy it as much as possible. Much of the food served at the restaurant is from the hotel's own hydroponic farm and it is amazing and kid-friendly. There are also many fabulous nearby restaurant too. The kids program is run during the holidays only and includes cooking classes and garden tours. Service is top notch and for parents that want pampering, the spa is great too.

Comprised entirely of 1 and 2 bedroom suites, guest units feel like luxurious apartments with fully equipped kitchens, laundry facilities, and spacious living areas. The suites are so well-designed and decorated that it would be easy to settle in comfortably for a week or more. The bluff-side setting is our favorite feature—many of the suites have phenomenal views of the ocean and rugged coastline. The physical footprint of the hotel is small, with just enough hotel-type amenities to make relaxing a breeze, including a year-round heated pool, excellent restaurant, and spa offering an array of treatments. Shell Beach is a short walk away, and there are a variety of beach communities to explore in the area, as well as access to top notch wine tasting.

Kids are just steps from the sand and the landmark Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with numerous games and rides. The casual and funky décor is fun yet comfortable, and definitely kid-friendly. A favorite amenity is the pool and lounge area hanging over the beach. We love that all rooms feature ocean views and pricing is value-oriented. It’s also noteworthy that the property, part of the progressive Joie de Vivre brand, supports the community with consistent donations to local organizations in need.

We loved the intimate and luxurious atmosphere, and the food was fantastic! The staff made our trip great and relaxing - they knew our names and always greeted our son. We were actually able to relax on the beach while our son played in the sand - much easier at an intimate resort like this! Cottages are well-appointed for families.

Everything is organized around a central plaza with many entertainment options for all ages including horseshoes, ping pong, and an outdoor fire pit. It is a safe and fun set-up for families. There is a toddler play area and board games available. One particularly nice feature is the affordable children’s menu given that the restaurant is the only option for meals and you can’t keep food in cabins because of bears. The staff is wonderful and offers great local excursion advice and guided activities. Recently renovated Family Cabins are comfortable and ideally configured with pocket doors you can close for separation and privacy. Just a mile from Yosemite National Park, access to park attractions and a wide variety of outdoor adventures is easy.

Rented a condo which held my wife and I, our 3 kids, my sister in law, nephew, and in-laws (total of 9). Had direct access to the big lagoon pool, short walk to beach, and had a plunge pool in patio. My kids thought that the plunge pool was the highlight of the trip.

FAIRMONT MAYAKOBA city/region: Yucatan Peninsula   accommodation category: resort location: seaside   standard: upscale   style: contemporary cb! age rating: baby ready, toddler fun, school age action, cool for teens Casitas are stylish and offer generous space for families. Bathrooms are roomy and nicely appointed. A large balcony provides views of the lagoon and/or resort. Several pools to choose from along with activities for the children at the kid's club. Beach is clean and well-maintained. Water is turquoise/blue. Golf carts and boat rides make for easy transport throughout this rather large resort. Several restaurants to choose from although our experience was that the lunch options were better than the dinner selections. Close proximity to town (10 minute drive, $15 cab ride) makes this resort seem remote and serene, while easily accessible to the restaurants, bars, and cafes of Playa del Carmen. Excellent service throughout the resort. Try and select an upgraded room (Casita or Casita Suite).

Mini-golf, Cracker Jax race cars, and a train park with a carousel are nearby. There are multiple restaurants onsite, in addition to other good options in the area. We opted for the casita room with plenty of space and comfortable beds.

FOUR SEASONS RESORT HUALALAI city/region: Hawaii   accommodation category: resort location: seaside   standard: luxurious   style: contemporary cb! age rating: baby ready, toddler fun, school age action, cool for teens Our girls are still asking when they can go back to Hualalai and tell us that this trip to Hawaii was the best vacation they've every had. The highlight for them was the extensive and creative activities for kids of all ages including unique and cultural programs like hula dancing and mask making. Every detail for kids has been thought of here - from swim diapers at the pool to customized special treats in the room; the result is parents are able to relax too and everyone enjoys the gorgeous grounds and amenities. There is a saltwater protected lagoon with over 4,000 tropical fish which was great for snorkeling without surf. The food is excellent with a fresh breakfast buffet we all loved. The hotel is luxurious but not pretentious, key for a family-friendly atmosphere.

High on the list of favorite attributes is the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean from the main swimming pool and restaurants. The other stand out feature is the truly exceptional service. Adults feel pampered at every turn and kids of all ages are warmly welcomed from the moment they arrive. Spread across a large oceanfront development, the hotel provides a long list of tailored amenities to suit a variety of ages and interests - an adult pool and spa, a lazy river, fitness center, game room for teens, top notch golf, tennis, and a gorgeous, sandy beach. Structured activities for kids are offered every day. For families, the location just 45 minutes North of the Puerto Vallarta airport means logistics are minimal and many cities offer direct flights to this area.

The Grace Bay Club is a great option for families wanting to be truly pampered while enjoying this quite and easy to access island activities. The service here is exceptional; the manager of the pool and beach personally made sure that every person, adult and child alike, had a wonderful experience.

Yet, surprisingly intimate. Many beach and pool areas. Calm, blue, warm waters, able to lie on a float in the Caribbean. Many, many onsite activities - horseback riding (even in the water), water sports, tennis, exercise room, golf,and a fabulous new spa. Villas from 4-7 bedrooms that come equipped with staff of housekeeper, cook and butler. Other rooms are in garden apartment style buildings, many oceanfront with terraces. Many restaurant choices available.

HOTEL AL PIAVE city/region: Venice/Veneto   accommodation category: hotel location: city   standard: simple   style: traditional cb! age rating: baby ready, school age action, cool for teens Small, family-run hotel in the Castello area of Venice. This location is not as touristy as other areas and a 10-minute walk from the popular activities and sights. The property is quiet on a small side street - a bit hard to find the first time you look for it, but otherwise this hotel is a great value for Venice.

The lobby lounge and bar is buzzing throughout the day with people of all ages, working and on holiday – the lively atmosphere is one of our favorite features. There is also an outdoor terrace with magnificent views of the city. Rooms and spacious and there are several configuration options for families. The management has put careful thought to offering services to families from children’s menus to bottle warmers - an ideal option for parents seeking high-end accommodations and services.

Hotel is in the town of Camogli - a picturesque fishing village. A nice place for family strolls with a carousel that provides some entertainment. The sea-side promenade is pedestrian-only. The beach is rocky but fun to explore. The hotel has beautiful sea views and amazing sunsets.

This luxurious hotel has beautiful rooms and ocean views. The town is cute and the overall area is perfect for walking and bike riding. The hotel has daily kids activities, offers surging lessons, and rents a variety of bikes including cruisers, tandems, and surreys. The restaurant is excellent and welcomes families.

Since it's part of the Joie de Vivre hotels, you can build frequency points as well.

Just off the main street housing all the high-end stores. Although it is very close to St. Mark's Square, the hotel is very quiet. Small rooms and very small shower, but the staff couldn't have been nicer and the outside garden for breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day! They have rooms that connect for families - this was important to us.

Located in Fiesole in the hills above Florence, the property has expansive views of the area. The setting is wonderful and with a garden area where kids can run around. There are a few room configurations that work well for families. The local bus conveniently stops in front of the property for the 20-minute ride into the center of Florence.

As you depart the pool area, they offer towels and beach toys that you can take to play for the day. Upon returning from the beach, you can enjoy a swim back in the hotel pool which is heated and has underwater speakers. Nice workout facilities, reasonable on resort dining for breakfast lunch and dinner, including a poolside menu. Marketplace where you can buy snacks and supplies for nightly "smores" that you cook over a fire pit poolside. Also an arcade, bike rentals, and spa for adult relaxation. 5-minute drive from the Huntington Beach pier that is the original Surf City home, where you can watch world class surfers ride the waves!

IDAHO ROCKY MOUNTAIN RANCH city/region: Sawtooth Mountains   accommodation category: ranch location: mountains   standard: upscale   style: traditional cb! age rating: baby ready, toddler fun, school age action, cool for teens There are few views more spectacular than the one from the porch of the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch - the dramatic peaks of the Sawtooth Mountains dominate the setting. The 80-year old ranch is authentic on the outside but modern and comfortable inside. Cozy cabins with connecting doors are optimal for families. There are endless outdoor activities to choose from in this area including world-class hiking, biking, fishing, and horseback riding. Kids love the hot springs mineral pool and there is an evening kids program with games and activities that my 5-year-old still raves about. The bottom line is everyone has an opportunity to unwind here and take advantage of the incredible setting.

Most of the resort has been recently renovated, rooms feature beautiful materials and are upscale. Excellent spa with the most magnificent cliff-side setting overlooking the blue sea. Not much to do on the island, mainly stick to the resort.

There is also a zero entry pool that is a safe and fun way to enjoy the magnificent pool with small kids. Highlights include Lincoln Road Mall (three blocks away) - an open-air pedestrian promenade filled with restaurants, outdoor cafes, stores, art galleries, and (at night) street performers. It's lined with plenty of benches, lush foliage, and colorful storefronts. A great place for walking strollers or hanging out and having a coffee/drink break with your older children. The hotel is at the far end of South Beach on the beach so guests have access to a private part of the beach and are away from the "action" of Ocean Drive, yet close enough to enjoy the sights.

The metro is just a few blocks away and provides direct service to downtown. Alexandria is loaded with great shops, delicious restaurants and fun kid-friendly activities.

The property has extremely comfortable rooms and the spa services are outstanding. The grounds are beautiful and fun for toddlers to run around. The staff is super-friendly and we found the onsite restaurant Saddles to be very nice, yet low-key enough for kids.

The staff was so kind and informative, really helped us with an itinerary prior to our arrival. 10 rooms with a large suite able to accommodate a family of five, and a room with 4 twin beds as well. Relaxing breakfast served in the veranda in the gardens.

The contemporary Mexican décor is luxurious but not stuffy and families have a number of onsite activities to choose from including 3 swimming pools and a kids club. Located just 25 minutes from the airport, the Marquis Los Cabos is a perfect destination for families who want exceptional facilities and services in a breathtaking setting.

The property is set right on Mirror Lake with a private beach. There are a million activities to choose from through every season in this area. Rooms are spacious and there is an indoor pool that the boys loved to use after skiing. Public areas are family-oriented, warm, and inviting and the decks facing the lake have fantastic views. The food is outstanding, especially the fresh, homemade bread.

The property is quiet and relaxing and all units have kitchenette/kitchen facilities. There is a store for supplies and great local restaurants nearby. The setting is dramatic and there are wonderful walks and views in the area - it's also fun to rent electric boats on the lake. One highlight for me about this location with kids is that you don't have to deal with all the adult-focused venues of the strip.

Guest units are spacious, clean, and well-equipped including complete kitchen facilities. The "hot" outdoor pool was constantly filled with kids. This is a good option for families that want an alternative to a traditional hotel with easy access to Banff activities. Canmore has mountain views, but the immediate area is commercial.

PARK HYATT BEAVER CREEK city/region: Rocky Mountains   accommodation category: hotel location: mountains   standard: luxurious   style: contemporary cb! age rating: baby ready, toddler fun, school age action, cool for teens The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is in an incredible location with ideal access to the chair lifts, ski school, restaurants, and shopping. The hotel overlooks the ice skating rink in town and we can walk out our door to a million activities. Our favorite feature is the kid-friendly lobby—there is an enormous fireplace where people of all ages hang out and relax. The concierge service is unbelievable—the staff will manage anything and everything you need. The gym is absolutely top notch too, with excellent machines and yoga. We love the mountain set-up here for families with an extensive amount of intermediate terrain.

Each room is unique, we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that was so comfortable. Beautiful bathrooms. Fireplace that they will start for you. Amazing staff, very attentive. Fabulous, upscale restaurant, made special dishes for the kids. Game room for the kids. Many things nearby - incredible swimming quarries, fishing, canoeing. Spa visit the next day was terrific.

PLUMPJACK SQUAW VALLEY INN city/region: Lake Tahoe   accommodation category: hotel location: mountains   standard: upscale   style: contemporary cb! age rating: baby ready, toddler fun, school age action, cool for teens PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn is one of the few upscale, boutique hotels in the North Lake Tahoe area. Indoor public spaces include a cozy café with excellent food and wine, and more of the same in their intimate fine dining restaurant. Standard double rooms with 2 queen size beds are available, plus they have a few connecting room options as well. Kid-friendly amenities are limited, but for families seeking a high-end, intimate hotel experience, PlumpJack fits the bill. The lovely landscaped pool area is perfect for summer fun and the hotel is an ideal home-base for alpine skiing given that it is walking access to Squaw Valley lifts, ski school, shops, and restaurants.

The spot is beautiful, and the cottage is comfortable with great views. Johnny and Pamela our hosts clearly love children. Pamela and our son had fun exploring bugs together while my husband and I got some time on our own, a welcome rarity on a family vacation. Johnny and Pamela are great local guides for sites and great food. The best part for the kids was that their daughter, Alaia, who welcomed them into her play, and shared great Italian snacks with them. Our time with them couldn't have been better. They are interesting, knowledgeable, warm, and generous hosts.

The setting is absolutely beautiful and unique as the hotel is built into a mountain and overlooks the water. The property offers a complete array of amenities including a kids club, fabulous water sports, and golf on a picturesque course. There are a few onsite restaurants and the quality of the food is excellent. We had our own golf cart to get around - the kids loved it. There was also a nice contingent of families here from all over the world.

RAPHAEL HOTEL city/region: Rome   accommodation category: hotel location: city   standard: upscale   style: traditional cb! age rating: baby ready, toddler fun, school age action, cool for teens The unbeatable location on a quiet street adjacent to Piazza Navona is the reason we love Hotel Raphael for families. Many of Rome’s major tourist attractions are within walking distance. Rich with local color, the historic streets in this part of the city are fun to explore. The ivy-covered hotel has a boutique feel with appealing public areas and modern rooms. Families need to know that some room categories are small and the hotel offers only a handful of suites that can accommodate 4 people. That said, if a suite is available and you have a flexible budget, the property makes a wonderful home-base and is a favorite for many Ciao Bambino clients. The rooftop terrace is a special feature with lovely views of Rome’s landmarks.

RELAIS CHRISTINE city/region: Paris   accommodation category: hotel location: city   standard: upscale   style: boutique cb! age rating: baby ready, toddler fun, school age action Located in the heart of St. Germain des Pres, Relais Christine is tucked away on a quiet street. This gem is an ideal Left Bank home-base surrounded by charming cafes, restaurants, and shops; it has easy access to Right Bank attractions as well since it is only a block from the Seine. Fantastic walking and exploring opportunities are endless in this neighborhood. A true boutique hotel - the atmosphere is warm, intimate, and inviting with an honor bar in the main lounge area. The decor is high-end but comfortable; there are a few room configurations that work for families including some units that open up to a private, grassy garden.

RESORT AT SQUAW CREEK city/region: Lake Tahoe   accommodation category: hotel location: mountains   standard: luxurious   style: traditional cb! age rating: baby ready, toddler fun, school age action, cool for teens The Resort at Squaw Creek is one of the few full service resort properties in the North Lake Tahoe area. Set at the Eastern end of Squaw Valley, the setting and mountain views from this vantage point are spectacular. Although the hotel is very modern on the outside, rooms and public areas are traditional and comfortable. Some recently renovated guest rooms feature kitchenette facilities and fireplaces; there are a wide variety of room options that support families. What makes this property special is the long list of fantastic onsite amenities including a pool complete with a water slide for summer fun, an ice skating rink for winter fun, a kids club (ages 4-12), a spa, an 18-hole golf course, and an array of restaurants. Ski enthusiasts will appreciate the convenient location just steps from the Squaw Creek lift.

ROSEWOOD MAYAKOBA city/region: Yucatan Peninsula   accommodation category: resort location: seaside   standard: luxurious   style: trendy cb! age rating: baby ready, toddler fun, school age action, cool for teens What separates this resort from other properties is the exceptional level of service—we’ve stayed all over the world yet we were blown away by the gracious staff at the Rosewood Mayakoba. The suite-style rooms are gorgeous and very private—ours had a roof deck and plunge pool with a view of the beautiful lagoon. The food is excellent, although we loved going to Playa del Carmen with our kids and frequently went into town for meals. The overall ambiance is intimate versus a larger-property resort feel.

SAFARI WEST city/region: Napa Valley   accommodation category: resort location: countryside   standard: upscale   style: traditional cb! age rating: baby ready, school age action, cool for teens Over 400 animals roam free at Safari West and visitors can observe them up close in open-air jeeps or stay the night in stylish tent-cabins. This is one of those special places where it is easy for adults to enjoy themselves while kids are having a blast. The setting is gorgeous with scrub oak-covered hills—even without the animals it is a fantastic place. Riding in the jeep is a huge thrill for kids. The giraffes are incredible and there are some fascinating animals that I’ve never seen before. Little details are done very well—there is an outdoor BBQ for meals with a grassy area where kids can run around while adults sip wine. The tents are authentic, yet warm and comfortable.

We love the luxury here - the property is very comfortable with gorgeous rooms. The service is excellent. The kids' program and amenities are outstanding and include an arcade, movie theater, and playground. There is a beachfront area with new pools for families, as well as adult-only options. The poolside bungalows are beautiful and great to use. To top it off, the setting is wonderful with fantastic ocean views.

There are a few meal options on the property including a specialty market; the hamburger's at the Boon Fly Cafe are amazing and the restaurant Farm has a perfect grassy areas outside for kids to run around while parents relax with a glass of wine.

Children's High Tea is served every day and is quite popular. The countryside setting is spectacular and full of interesting excursions.

The historic main lodge has a grand, old-world ambiance and overlooks Lac Beauvert and Mt. Edith Cavell – the gorgeous setting and views make it difficult to leave the property, but there is a long list of interesting and fun outdoor activities in this area. Between the glorious setting, wide variety of accommodation options, and the sheer number of entertainment options for families, the Jasper Park Lodge is an ideal family vacation destination.

Man-made sand beach and "protected" area for swimming with minimal waves. More beach area for exploring the natural coral which has washed ashore and volcanic rock formations. Swim with green sea turtles which are native to the area. Children's sand wading pool. Keiki program for children with option for day or evening activities (they explored local caves with petrogylphs and visited other resorts to see sharks, etc.). Tennis available with lessons as well as a sand volleyball court. The location is excellent near other resorts and local shopping. Cabanas for rental for safe sun-time.

There is also a great water slide, activities for grown ups and kids alike including sea kayaking and snorkeling right from the beach or glass bottom boat rides. It's a small resort with a 1:1 staff to guest ratio, which we found to be really nice for our stay with little kids, in contrast to some "super resorts" where it's like mounting an expedition to get the family to the pool or beach. The rooms are all suites, as well, with full kitchens - not that you need the kitchen with the all-inclusive dining and snacks!

The sheer beauty of the resort, mountains, and rivers is beyond compare. Our extended family took over Tent City. They call it “glamping”—the best of camping and a luxury hotel. Each and every need and desire was handled immediately with a smile and attention to detail. We had our own “butler” for the tent—by the end of the week he was part of the family. As far as activities go, there was never a dull moment from horseback riding, ATV drives, fishing, and skeet shooting to name a few. I’ve traveled all around the world and our week at Paws Up will remain one of my most treasured memories!

Every guest room is staffed with a butler who proactively ensures that every need is met. Kids enjoy their own top notch amenities here including an expansive family pool area which notably has the same striking views as the adult pool–there is also a lovely kid's club facility for ages 5-12. The vibe here is relaxation, not hustle and bustle—but there are amenities for those that want to more action including a fitness center and a remarkably peaceful spa for parents that want pampering.

Although condos are individually owned, standard corporate décor is used throughout the complex and guest units are comfortable and well-appointed. Most have a full kitchen, gas fireplace, and a private balcony. Shared amenities include laundry facilities, game/TV lounges, fitness centers, and outdoor whirlpool tubs. Convenience is key when skiing with kids and everything families need is available in and around the Village.

We love that the village is always lively with jazz and music festivals in the summer and s’mores by the fire in winter. In addition to the phenomenal skiing in this area, there is a zip-line, mountain adventure center, and mountain bike riding over summer months. Great restaurants are within walking distance and there are also grocery stores nearby. Kids under 5 ski free at on the magic carpet at the resort and the ski school is terrific.

Part of the new riverfront development in the city of Napa, this hotel is a convenient and well-appointed home-base for exploring Napa Valley. The attraction for families at this property is the spacious, value-oriented guest rooms with kitchen facilities and sofa beds. The décor is casual, modern and tasteful. The service is friendly with an excellent concierge. This is not the typical vineyard-view, idyllic Napa getaway since the location is in town, but there is a nice pool and several good restaurants are within walking distance including casual options that are perfect for kids.

Our kids loved the Trump Kids program featuring a kid’s concierge, welcome gift, mini-robes, video games, and personalized kid ‘business cards’. The contemporary suites and rooms are beautifully done with top-notch beds, linens, and bath amenities. The excellent service at this hotel extends to the restaurant with stunning lake, river, and downtown views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. There’s a terrific indoor pool—the highlight for our kids—and a nice work out facility as well. The location is central for overall city activities.

A kid-friendly swimming beach with restaurant, showers, volleyball, and other luxuries, large central pool, children's pool with water slide and adjacent family jacuzzi, a separate more grown-up jacuzzi with views of the bay, poolside bar, tennis, horseback riding, two golf courses, kid-friendly dining, and recently refurbished rooms in the main hotel large enough to accommodate a family of four in a double room. If you would like more room, beachfront cottages and nicely-appointed villas are also available. Given the choice, I would choose the cottages over the villas they are closer to the main hotel, pool, and tennis and have a nicer view.

I immediately brought my family here for a long weekend. We love it, and continue to come as often as possible.The hotel is pristine and inviting as soon as you enter the lobby. The rooms, which are mostly suites, have upscale white linen decor, but also happen to be comfortable. The 2 and 3 bedroom suites are magnificent. The food is very good, both poolside and in the dining room. The pool and beach are well groomed and not very crowded. There's a small gym on site. Most impressive of all, is the staff. They are helpful, friendly, attentive and genuinely interested in making your stay a memorable one. My son will remember his 10th birthday forever, thanks to the thoughtfulness of 2 of the employees at the Vero Beach Hotel.

The surrounding lawn is flat for running around and there is a wonderful outdoor terrace overlooking the lake. Villa Chicca does not have a swimming pool although the rental includes access to a family-oriented sporting club in Bellagio. This property is an ideal option for 1-2 families looking for convenient, value-oriented accommodations that want to enjoy the views and benefits of a lakeside home.

The setting is beautiful and peaceful yet the action of Florence is an easy 15-minute drive away. High-end, very personalized service. Although the hotel is luxurious, staff goes out of their way to welcome children. A nice option for families that want resort amenities in a close proximity to Florence.

The staff is extremely attentive and willing to assist with every need!

Hear the calming surf all the time. Huge, beautiful beach, to build sand castles or ride bike along shore.

We stayed in one of the cottages with two bedrooms and a living room. Nicely appointed, the room configuration in these guest units is ideal. Beach toys are provided on arrival and the restaurant is clearly experienced in hosting families. Young kids will appreciate the small beach and playground nearby, and since the hotel is just steps from town, teens can enjoy a bit of independence.

Rooms are themed with many creative options including a treehouse perched 30 feet off the ground. The staff was great and very welcoming. Having an onsite babysitter was just amazing, this enabled my husband and I to go to the spa and have a couples massage and then enjoy an evening with other adults. We took the onsite family cooking class with the Executive Chef and the Pastry Chef - my family learned how to make homemade pasta as well as cupcakes. The ponds on the property are fun for young kids. Winvian is overall a magical place!
